Building Bridges in Burundi

The Building Bridges in Burundi programme- Promoting Social Cohesion, Human Security, and Resilience for Burundian Youth and Local Communities – is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Addressing Root Causes (ARC) fund.

The programme is implemented in 6 provinces: Cibitoke, Bujumbura, Makamba, Rutana, Kirundo et Bujumbura Mairie. The choice of these six target provinces reflects consortium members’ experience in supporting and developing the capacity of young people and communities exposed and vulnerable to inter-ethnic & political tensions, insecurity and violence, and to poverty and wider social & economic marginalization.
